Urška Djukić

Born in 1986, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Lives and works in Medvode, Slovenia.

She achieved a bachelor of digital arts and practices (Animation, Videofilm, Photography and New Media) at the School of Arts of the University of Nova Gorica.

Independent film, video and animation artist, focused on critical socially engaged themes, human psychology and philosophy. Draws from the local context, but includs elements of the surrounding cultural influences, as well as globalization problems… Beside content she is also interested in form and composition and explores the use of these parameters to better emphasize the content. She also engages in statuary art, moving graphic and photography. The concept of her work is using art to highlight important engaget themes and messages, that can make a difference.

A short experimental video/film which deals with the narration of images and sound, and explores the link, symbolism and cooperation between them. Rabbit Hole is the human void from which the social influences manifest on personality. It is the speech, which leads us and it is the force which cannot be ignored.
